Restoring health for holistic conception

Holistic Conception was created for women to fully nourish their minds, bodies, and souls in order to be rooted in their innate design from maidenhood through motherhood.

Holistic Conception Core Values

Holistic Conception addresses fertility the way it was created to be, moving with the seasons of a woman’s cycle and learning how to honor this even when not trying to conceive.

Holistic conception views childbirth as a rite of passage and it should be treated as such, while honoring mothers and babies in the process.

Holistic Conception prioritizes nutrition density over counting calories. We use optimal, dogma-free nutrition to allow the metabolism to thrive.



Holistic Conception steps away from the word “diet.” Prioritizing quality foods leaves no room for this word. We are not about restriction, we are about freedom the way our bodies were designed to be free.

Holistic Conception believes the metabolism flourishes through ditching toxins, reducing stress, and nourishing our bodies the way that they way created to be nourished. No crazy formulas. Just nourishment.

Holistic Conception works to heal from within, by fueling the body’s innate wisdom through nourishment.

Holistic Conception looks at femininity through a different lens than most of society. It is a gentle lifestyle that we get to lean into in vibrant, glowing wellness.

Hello, I am McKenna- Fertility Coach, Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, and Doula. As the owner of Holistic Conception, it is my mission to walk alongside you no matter where you are in your motherhood journey.

Nutritional Therapy uses the negative symptoms you experience in order to discover the root cause of the dysfunction happening in your body.

Then it addresses the root cause of your health concerns in order to bring balance and restoration back to the body through nutrition.

Anyone and everyone! The amazing thing about nutritional therapy is it works with your bio-individual needs in order to create solutions.

I specialize in nutritional therapy for fertility and pregnancy, but I can also work with you for other seemingly unrelated issues such as skin issues, headaches, or digestive discomfort.

Birth FAQ’s

Doulas are trained to provide education, physical, and emotional support throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

Doulas can offer support in the birth room to help ensure your birth wishes are met.

Absolutely! Here is what the evidence says about doulas (You can read about all the research at Evidence Based Birth):

“25% decrease in the risk of Cesarean; the largest effect was seen with a doula (39% decrease)*

8% increase in the likelihood of a spontaneous vaginal birth; the largest effect was seen with a doula (15% increase)*

10% decrease in the use of any medications for pain relief; the type of person providing continuous support did not make a difference

Shorter labors by 41 minutes on average; there is no data on if the type of person providing continuous support makes a difference

38% decrease in the baby’s risk of a low five-minute Apgar score; there is no data on if the type of person providing continuous support makes a difference

31% decrease in the risk of being dissatisfied with the birth experience; this risk was reduced with continuous support provided by a doula or someone in their social network (family or friend), but not hospital staff”

Why this matters👉👉blood sugar regulation and fertility go hand in hand. Blood sugar impacts key hormones such as progesterone and estrogen. On top of this, unregulated blood sugar is a major stressor on the body, that can lead to internal inflammation that can negatively impact fertility.
In pregnancy, a mother’s blood sugar can hold lifelong impacts on the metabolism of their baby in utero, and establishing healthy blood sugar prior to and during pregnancy can positively impact a child’s lifelong metabolic function.
Thankfully, there are lots of incredible hacks to support blood sugar.

Here are the first three things I would do:
1) assess your nutrition and eat a nutrient dense diet that is rich in minerals.

2) optimize your digestion. If digestion doesn’t functional optimally, a healthy diet won’t matter as much because the body can’t process what it’s taking in. It is also so important for hormone health!!

3) learn how to track your cycle and start tracking now! This will allow you to come off of birth control prior to conceiving and allow your eggs and uterus time to recover from all the synthetic hormones. It will also give you insight into your hormone health and where you need support.

These are just the first three steps in my seven phase protocol to prepare the body for pregnancy.
